UPDATE 16/11/16

State Highway 1 in the South Island between Cheviot and Ward remains closed. As we are unable to gain access, there will be no deliveries into this region. We advise all customer to refrain from sending items into this area until otherwise advised. Once access has been restored and we are permitted to use an alternative route we will update the website. At this stage, we have not been given any time-frames from the authorities.

The above road closure also means that you can expect up to a 2-3 day delay on all inter-island freight movements as the alternative route between Christchurch and Picton, currently being accessed, is causing significant delays for our network connections. We are working with authorities and internally to assess other options, but at this stage with have no other alternatives available.

Services within the Wellington CBD continue to be impacted with some businesses either closed or with limited access, so we anticipate continued delays for the Wellington CDB. In addition, there are some surrounding areas that have also been affected by the flooding, so we anticipate minor delays throughout the outer Wellington and Kapiti Coast region.

UPDATE 15/11/16

Interisland services ran on time overnight, however, there will be significant delays given the rescheduled ferry timetable.
All interisland services from above are 1 extra day due to the above which means missed connections.

Due to the Air New Zealand network being under capacity constraints, we are experiencing some delays in our overnight service as well.

While the ferries are now taking road freight and cars, there will be delays due to the amount of back freight to be moved and some freight may possibly be prioritised.
Unfortunately, Kaikoura will be limited to emergency/necessary supplies for the foreseeable future.

South Island freight will arrive as usual to most destinations. North Island freight will possibly be delayed.
