Original Thermette Kettle & Cooker - Tin

The original Thermette was invented in 1929 by John A. Hart in New Zealand. It was standard equipment for kiwi troops during the second World War and has gone through exactly zero changes since then! It has served many a soldier and civilian needing to boil water and cook a meal at the same time. 

The main component is the large olive drab 'drum.' You simply fill it with water, mount it on the stand and light your kindling under it. The drum has a unique cone shape on the inside so the flame can heat a large surface area quickly. A massive bonus is this heat can be utilized again - it funnels out the top and can be used to heat a pot on top. You can have your cake and eat it to! (or you know, have your meal and a hot cuppa). These are as kiwi as number 8 wire! A must have for the next camping or hunting trip.
