Polish Army 2 Piece Mess Kit

The ability to heat up food/water and consume it in the field is essential to both soldiers and the serious trekker. These Polish mess kit's don't muck about in this primary purpose. Very similar in design to their German neighbour's mess kit, the key difference is these are just a simple 2 piece rather than 3 piece set. 

You can 'unlock' the kit by flicking open the handle arm and popping the lid off. The bottom component is much deeper and used primarily for heating up food/water with the large carry handle - the top part is used as a serving tray. The arm on this lid/serving tray functions as a handle so you can hold it safely without burning your hands and continue to eat from it. A great bit of kit for minimalist eating in the field while hunting/camping.
