Description

An Austrian Bundesheer variation of the iconic US M1 helmet. Helmets of this design were used from WWII through to the late '80's by many NATO countries. These Austrian steel pots are dated from 1970-80 and include a new commercial inner liner.

The shell retains the typical M1 shape with a steel construction, painted in olive drab. The helmet comes with a lightweight plastic liner that features an adjustable suspension system and chin strap (generic M1 reproduction - not accurate to original Austrian liners). Although M1's are one of the most widely produced helmets, the originals are harder to come by day by day. Maybe not one for the most purist of collectors, but a good balance for general 'rough enough' impressions - perfect for airsoft or filmsets!

  • Genuine Austrian Army helmet & new commercial inner liner
  • Steel construction
  • Adjustable suspension liner
  • Cotton canvas chinstrap on the shell

What appears to be an Austrian helmet design copied from the more known American M1 helmet design. Great helmet for collecting and for airsoft etc....I am currently starting a helmet collection. I do think the liner itself is poor quality if i were to be honest but quite comfortable, other than that recommend to anyone. cheers

I bought this helmet, and within a week it arrived. This helmet is every thing I asked for, its perfect. The metal outer layer gave it a really authentic feel and look, including the scratches on it. When it arrived I was surprised at the bit of weight it had stored up in it. (It's harder to run in it than I expected). Overall great for gel blasters and will be looking forward to using it again.

Great m1 helmet similar to US just different chinstrap. Nicely made, Sweatband keeps becoming lose but easy to fix it. It took a week to ship but that's because it was a holiday so I understand. Overall great M1 helmet 5 stars
