Little story. I have ALS, the motor neuron disease that is taking every muscle in my body. We were all getting together to watch the All Whites game on Monday and on Wednesday I placed in order for a silver fern flag and emailed the army and outdoors team with a request for a quick dispatch hoping it would arrive before Monday morning. Not only did it arrive Friday but I had a wonderful email conversation with the team. I am the young one in the rest home and I was very happy to send the army and outdoors team a picture of me and my power chair with my wild kiwi New Zealand hat and my Aotearoa t-shirt and my new flag draped around the back of my power chair. It was so cool bringing some Joy to the older folks also watching the World Cup match. Huge thanks to the army and outdoors team for enabling this memory.
