These New Zealand Army canteens are a bit of a mixed bag but they all have this in common: they hold fluids and they have covers.

Mixed in with these 1 quart canteens are NBC (Nuclear Biological Chemical) caps and regular screw caps. Three major variations are shown in the images (screw caps have slightly different lid attachments). Some canteens may be of US origin, and the shade of green varies too! I guess the NZ Army had quite the collection at some point. 

Covers have 2 snap domes, a fuzzy interior lining for insulation and a drainage eyelet to the bottom. The attachment strapping to the back will take ALICE clips and the little pocket to the outer is handy to store water purification tablets. All used hydration components are display/prop/collectable only and not for consumption use.
