Description
An Austrian Bundesheer variation of the iconic US M1 helmet. Helmets of this design were used from WWII through to the late '80's by many NATO countries. These Austrian steel pots are dated from 1970-80 and include the original inner liner!
The shell retains the typical M1 shape with a steel construction, painted in olive drab. The helmet comes with a lightweight plastic inner shell that features an adjustable leather suspension system and canvas chin strap. Although M1's are one of the most widely produced helmets, Austrian versions with original liners are becoming harder to come by.
