East German paratrooper helmet featuring an olive drab steel shell with a rounded profile and leather interior liner. The helmet has a segmented, perforated leather crown liner, padded green edging, and leather side flaps with ventilation holes. A leather chinstrap with metal fastening hardware and rear lacing completes the interior assembly.

The steel shell shows visible scratches, paint chipping and surface wear throughout, particularly around the rim.
