Description
A surplus ERDL camouflage jungle shirt featuring a four-pocket layout, ripstop construction, and button-adjustable cuffs. This example was manufactured in 1969, sized Medium Regular, and shows light fraying along the hem with small pin holes at the collar from removed insignia.
Introduced during the mid-1960s for use by special forces, this camouflage pattern was later adopted by the United States Marine Corps for service in Vietnam. It also saw use with Australian and New Zealand SAS units during the conflict and remained in service into the early 1980s before being phased out in favour of US M81 Woodland.
