Introduced into US military service in 1965, the M65 jacket has become recognisable in modern fashion, film and cultural movements. Constructed from a cotton/polyester, and featuring a hook & loop neck closure, snap up storm flap and drawstrings at the bottom hem and in the hood. Most will have brass zippers, some have aluminium ('Nam spec) and very few have nylon zippers (thanks, Air Force). These are a real classic jacket that are well integrated into civilian culture.

    Excellent jacket - sizing generous!

The jacket I received was 1972 vintage and in excellent condition. Very pleased with it, I did however realise that these are sized very generously. I ordered a Med/Reg and it is too big, at least for my preference. I am 5'11" and approx 82kg. My GF has an XS which fits her OK but is too small for me - I reckon a Small/Reg will be just about right so am waiting for one of those to come in, but will keep the Med as a spare or maybe for wearing over multiple layers.

    A true classic

My M65 is from 1968. It has aluminium zippers and no patches or badges. The material is nicely worn in but nowhere near worn out. These jackets are fairly heavy and very comfortable. I should have watched a couple more YT videos about them to properly understand the sizing as you really can size down from the chest size specified and even then still fit layers underneath. I would normally wear a 38 in a military shirt and got S regular and it's very roomy.

    Outstanding!

Was not sure what to expect. Received a jacket that shows made in 80. It does not look to ever have been worn. No patches or signs there where any. The jacket is outstanding for a 44 years. It also shipped incredibly quick from NZ to US. Such a great deal I ordered a second for my son.

    Beautiful hardwearing jacket

Bought this and I have no regrets. Jacket is almost like new and looks hardly used. According to tag it is made in 1974 which makes it close to 50 years old! Very tough outer shell as you can expect from US military issue and lined internally with smooth cotton canvas. Very versatile jacket.

    Genuine M65

Great jacket and incredibly good quality given the age. DSA number is 100-70-C-0525, which indicates it was manufactured in 1970. A 52 year old jacket with no visible significant signs of wear, stains or damage. Very happy. Worth the money. Thank you.
