The insignia is mounted on a bright royal blue oval embroidered cloth backing with a dark blue border. The reverse features two metal attachment posts, while the cloth backing has a woven mesh reverse with visible stitching.

The metal insignia shows light surface wear and tarnishing, with minor discolouration around the rear attachment points.
