Description
The USGI M-1943 Field Jacket is a surplus four-pocket field jacket with lined hip pockets and a button-front closure. This example was manufactured on April 17, 1944 and is sized 34R.
Brought in to replace the earlier M-1941 field jacket, this model set the precedent for future field jackets used by the US armed forces and many other militaries worldwide. The M-1943 saw service in the later stages of World War II and into the 1950s during the Korean War.
