USGI M-1943 Field Jacket in size 34R. This is the original four-pocket US field jacket design. It has lined hip pockets and does not have attachment points for a liner.

This example shows heavy fraying on the cuffs and base of the jacket, with multiple buttons broken or missing. Brought in to replace the earlier M-1941 field jacket, this model set the precedent for all future US field jackets. The M-1943 saw service in the later stages of World War II and into the Korean War.
