Description
The USGI M-1951 Field Jacket is a surplus field jacket featuring wool-lined hip pockets, buttons for attaching a liner, and a lightweight tuck-away hood. This example was manufactured in 1958 and is sized Large-Long.
First introduced during the tail end of the Korean War, these were designed to replace the older M-1943 that were no longer fit for purpose in colder climates. This particular jacket, judging by the remnants of removed patches, was in USAF service.
