Returns Policy

Returning or exchanging products? No worries! We've got your back with our 30-day returns policy for online orders. Keep in mind, not all items are eligible for returns (check below for details). Need help? Reach out to us anytime!

You've got a whole week (7 calendar days) to decide if you want to keep or return/exchange your product. To be eligible for a return, send it back within 30 days from date of delivery. Make sure the item/s are unused and in the same condition as when you received it. While you're welcome to try products on, we kindly request that you refrain from using them outdoors.

Damaged or Incorrect Item/s

Please check your order carefully upon receipt. If you have received the incorrect item, or it appears damaged and/or defective - complete our returns form.

Change of Mind

While we're sure you'll pick something you love, be sure to choose wisely as we don't offer refunds for ‘change of mind’ online or in-store—unless, of course it's faulty. If an item you have purchased does not fit, we will exchange it for another size. Get in touch with us to discuss.

Exchanges or Returns

We are happy to exchange items if you need a larger/smaller fit.

Exceptions & Non-Refundable Items

Unfortunately some items can not be returned for exchange or refund.

  • Clearance Products cannot be returned or refunded
  • Due to the nature of military surplus, we cannot offer refunds for change of mind, we are happy to exchange for sizing.
  • Face Masks, base layer/underwear
  • Merchandise that has been worn, used or altered in any way will not be accepted for return or exchange.
  • Gift Cards and e-gift cards may not be returned. Gift cards are also not redeemable for cash
  • Printed Dog Tags (unless we have made an error)

We may refuse the return of items that do not comply with the above criteria.

Freight Costs and Reimbursement

Refunds and online store credits are for returned merchandise total only, shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. If we have made an error in your order, we will cover shipping costs.

Instore Returns Policy

Most elements of this returns policy also apply to In-store purchases. However, as instore customers are able to view and choose items in person, the returns window is 7 days only.

Here are some instructions for returns and refunds:

Pack the items carefully in a delivery-proof bag/box (original delivery packaging works best, usually). Along with your invoice, please include a note with the following information:

  • Order number
  • your name
  • your address
  • reason for returning the items, and what you want us to do with your return - replacement/refund/etc.

Refunds will be credited to your credit card unless you have paid via bank transfer, in this case please provide us with your bank details.

We process the returns as soon as they have been received back to us. If there are any delays with your returns, the most likely reason is that the returned item has not been delivered back to Army and Outdoors yet. Usually, it takes 3-14 days for the returned parcel to reach Army and Outdoors.

New Zealand Returns

Please follow the steps below to begin the returns process.

  • 1. Start a return
    Return, replace or exchange items. Enter your order number and email address.
  • 2. We send you return label (if applicable)
    Print this out. Attach to your return package and contact courier for a pick-up.
  • 3. We will be in touch when your return is processed
    Whether it is a refund or an exchange, we'll let you know what's happening.
