If you feel the need to unstitch the thread and restore this boonie back to it's original state, you can. Finished in desert DPM camouflage for effectiveness in arid terrains. An adjustable cord chinstrap and quality material make this a perfect piece of headwear for hotter days.
The latest batch of these boonie hats do not include chinstraps.

This is my second one, best get your size when available. Comfortable hat. I added my own parachord chin strap

These are more of a bucket hat than an American Boonie. I now have two of these, both were like new. I added a paracord chin loop with a spring toggle adjuster, perfect for those windier days. Good size brim, in my opinion a better fit that an American Boonie, the American Boonie is however a click up in quality so either or they really are all good ex army garments.
