Description

*Note* Some may have white writing on the front flap with the NSN number

Originally these pouches were issued by the US Army to protect AN/PEQ16B illuminator systems but have lots of uses for civilian applications. The pouch has a hook & loop secured flap to provide easy access to its contents. Under this flap is both the main compartment and two skinny utility pouches. The main compartment was originally designed to store the illuminator but is also suited for maps, notepads, small binocular sets or hand cuffs for security work. On the front of this are two long accessory pouches - these are great for storing the likes of multi-tools or flash lights. On the back of the pouch are two ALICE clips so you can mount it to a belt or pack system with ease.

If you work security/law enforcement or need an utility pouch that can be mounted to a belt system, then these might might fit the bill!

Features:

  • Hook & loop secured flap
  • Tough nylon build with light padding
  • 2 x Small utility pouches
  • 1 x Main storage compartment
  • ALICE clip mounting (includes clips)
  • Draining hole at rear

A bit sandy and dirty on arrival, but well made and perfect for my fire kit!

Came a little dirty, but the quality feels good and it has good storage space for my fire kit

Well-made, versatile pouch

Main pouch, while wide and deep, is flat so more suited to notebooks and the like as mentioned in the 'Details' tab although bulkier items will fit.
Division between main and front compartments stops short of the bottom so all three can share the drainage hole. This might be an annoyance depending on what you want to keep in it. As can be seen in the pictures, the front flap covers the whole pouch so it looks sleek and tidy.

I'm using it for EDC, replacing a leather Taurus pouch. Main compartment has notebooks, ID and wallet. One front pouch has a Nokia 800 Tough, pen and pencil clipped. Other has Fenix LD09 clipped, keys with long fob hanging out and a Victorinox SwissTool XC sitting on top of the keys.

Other things that will fit in the front pouches:
Silky pocketboy 130
Samsung S3 Mini (modern phones of around 85x160mm should fit too)
Roland R-07
Garmin Etrex 10
Stanley 148ml Flask
Suunto MC-2 compass
Suunto A-30 compass (Silva's should fit quite happily too)
Opinel no.10 (probably also no.12)
Fenix E20
Mil-Tech lightstick
Aquamira Frontier Straw
The last four items will all fit in one pouch.
