*Note* Some may have original hood wire removed. Sorry we cannot take requests
These cold weather parkas are well known due to their association with the Falklands War. Used between units of SBS, SAS & Royal Marines, they were designed to protect its wearers from cold weather. This parka is a strange mix of both the former Denison & regular DPM smocks, except with a hood and some extra features.
The main feature that sets these parkas apart is the addition of a hood. Lets face it - if you are wearing a hood up, it usually means its poor weather out. With a quilted inner hood lining you can stay toasty with no fuss. These parkas were designed to be used in conjunction with a quilted parka liner (not included) that sticks in with various internal hook & loop patches. Being able to remove/add these at will is a great feature to adapt to what the weather is doing. Just like the denison smock these in part replaced, they have tail flap albeit with buttons instead of snap domes.
Seldom seen outside of the UK, we don't expect to see any more of these any time soon. If you are a Falklands war collector then you have to jump on these fast!

Mine is in excellent condition, with wire in hood, bonus.
These are generously sized so possible go a size down as they must be sized for liner ( not included) and extra layers beneath, so absolutely Fanta for NZ conditions and more modern Marino and down thinner layers under.
So happy with this.
