The Czech M85 series of combat bags were originally designed for safe transport of gas masks. It proved popular enough to be used as a bread/general gear bag due to its water resistant and easy to use nature. These might not be the most endearing of bags for looks but the amount of uses these have for the price far surpasses this factor.

For starters the bag is made from a highly water resistant vinyl exterior. This will keep things like your clothes or food dry from everything bar the biggest of downpours. To help keep the weather out further there are internal flaps on each side to prevent rain coming from the sides. These flaps have a strap and buckle that can join together and when tightened help compress the bags contents into a smaller size. A large main flap goes over the top of these to open/close the bag and is secured with two strong straps and buckles. The inside has one large main compartment with a small divider that can hold a few books or notepad safely along with a pocket roughly the size of a drink bottle. To transport these come equipped with a long removable strap that can be adjusted and worn over the shoulder. Alternatively these have a single strong carry handle on the main flap.

If your after a cheap, robust everyday bag that can survive a journey to the office let alone a trip in the bush, these will survive! With the strap removed and a bit of jury-rigging these can make great side saddles on your bike for your everyday commute.
